After a warm welcome by the Foundation’s Managing Director, Andreas Portmann, PD Dr. Bettina Heidecker, Head of Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies at Campus Benjamin Franklin of the DHZC, presented her latest findings on personalized treatment strategies for inflammatory cardiomyopathies. This was followed by Dr. Phillip Suwalski, member of the Heidecker team, who shared his research on the development of new therapeutic targets for myocarditis – offering fascinating insights into the bridge between laboratory research and clinical application.
But it wasn’t just the presentations that sparked enthusiasm – during the subsequent get-together, discussions continued over snacks and drinks, with plenty of expert exchanges and laughter. With the “Cardiovascular Conversations” Meetup and our new co-working space, PulseLab, we aim to further strengthen cardiovascular research in Berlin and create an open, creative environment for interdisciplinary exchange. Our mission: to bring together researchers, physicians, and innovators to explore new paths in cardiovascular medicine.
